It seems as if the tyrannical British
regime has once again reinforced their passion for injustice and
oppression, as recent events in Bangladesh unfold the true nature of
democracy and freedom; for over two years, Jamil Rahman, a British
citizen, was cruelly held captive by Bangladeshi authorities and
mercilessly tortured, while MI5 officers sadistically turned a blind
eye.
After forced confessions from Jamil
Rahman were eventually extracted, admitting to his involvement in
various terrorist atrocities, including being the ‘mastermind' of the
7/7 attacks that killed 52 people in London, MI5 officers continued to
ignore Mr Rahman's pleas of the false nature of these confessions and
furthermore looked on as beatings were repeated and personally
threatened him that his wife would be raped.
Unfortunately, this outrageous pattern
of injustice shows no sign of ebbing, as numerous cases of MI5
collusion with oppressive regimes have recently come to light, notably
including that of Binyam Mohammed earlier this year.
However, we also find that the scholars
of Ahlus Sunnah Wal Jama'ah have been included in this vile display of
freedom, being incessantly vilified, tortured and attacked. Sheikh Omar
Bakri Muhammad, who currently resides in Tripoli, Lebanon, has in
recent months been ruthlessly hunted by the dictatorial Lebanese regime
at the behest of the British government, culminating in an unsuccessful
assassination attempt on his life in September 2008, in which a 1.5kg
of explosive was carefully left in his car capable of being detonated
at a distance.
On June 3rd 2009, Sheikh Omar Bakri
Muhammad once again faces the injustice of man-made law, as he faces
sentencing on various terrorist related charges, all of which are
baseless and furthermore a blatant attempt to silence a highly
influential scholar.
Undoubtedly, it is evident that as long
as one utters the testimony ‘la ilaaha ilallah' (there is none truly
worthy of worship except Allah), that he or she will be subject to
attack and vilification by those who disbelieve in it, something which
the actions of the British and Lebanese establishment vividly
illustrate.
We ask all Muslims to make dua to Allah
(SWT) to ease the affairs of those (Muslim) brothers and sisters
currently being targeted by the oppressive regimes across the world and
to preserve the scholars of Ahlus Sunnah Wal Jama'ah wherever they may
be.
